はじめまして、竹内宏行です。

この度、メンタルアップのカウンセラーとして皆様にお会いできることをとても嬉しく思っています。

さて、今回は「健康」というものについて考えてみたいと思います。

皆様は、健康という言葉を聞いて、まずどんなことをイメージしますか?

一般的に、健康というと「身体的健康」をイメージすることが多いのではないかと思われます。


WHO(世界保健機関)の定義によると、「健康とは、単に疾病、あるいは病弱でないばかりか、身体的、精神的、社会的によい状態である」とされています。

これは、健康が、身体的な面だけではなく、精神的な面についても重要視されなければならないということを意味しています。

身体と心はとても深いつながりをもっているといわれています。

だから、身体的不健康が原因で心の病を引き起こすこともあり、また、精神的不健康から身体が病気になることもあるんですね。

例えば…嬉しいことがあると、身体の具合が悪くてもそのことを忘れることができたり、それがきっかけで病気が治ったりすることってありませんか?

逆に悲しいことがあると、身体は健康でも気分が重くなったり、身体を動かすことがおっくうになったりもしますよね。

昔から「病は気から」といわれるように、試験の前になるとお腹が痛くなったり、人前で話すときに手足が震えたりと、精神的な不安が身体に及ぼすことって多いと思います。

また、逆に、空腹になると怒りっぽくなったりするなど、身体が精神にさまざまな影響を及ぼすこともありますよね。


私は、今まで精神保健分野で仕事をしてきましたが、そのなかで感じているのは、年々、目に見えて人びとの心の健康への関心が高まってきているということです。

特に、比較的若い人たちは、心の病や障害に対する誤解や偏見も少なく、また、ひじょうに関心があり、なかには専門家顔負けの知識をもっている素人さん(?)も少なくないという印象です。

これって、逆に「他人事」ではないと思う人が増えてきたのかもしれませんね…

自分で自分の心の健康に気を遣っていかなければ生きていけない世の中になってきたということなのかもしれません。


まだまだ、健康というと、まず身体に病気があるかないかだけを考えてしまいがちですが、もっともっと心の健康に目を向けやすい世の中にしていけたらいいなと考えています。

そのために、カウンセリングを、より身近に、より多くの方たちに手軽に利用していただけるように努めていきたいと思います。

So not really on the same topic as your post, but I found this today and I just can't resist sharing. Mrs. Agathe’s dishwasher quit working so she called a repairman. Since she had to go to work the next day, she told him, “I’ll leave the key under the mat. Fix the dishwasher, leave the bill on the counter, and I’ll mail you the check. Oh, and by the way…don’t worry about my Doberman. He won’t bother you. But, whatever you do, do NOT under ANY circumstances talk to my parrot!” When the repairman arrived at Mrs. Agathe’s apartment the next day, he discovered the biggest and meanest looking Doberman he had ever seen. But just as she had said, the dog simply laid there on the carpet, watching the repairman go about his business. However, the whole time the parrot drove him nuts with his incessant cursing, yelling and name-calling. Finally the repairman couldn’t contain himself any longer and yelled, “Shut up, you stupid ugly bird!” To which the parrot replied, “Get him, Spike!”

This is a brand new way to learning this.
