こんにちは。
カウンセラーの須藤直子です。
宗教用語に「桜梅桃李（おうばいとうり）」という言葉があります。
この桜梅桃李とは、桜には桜の、梅には梅の、桃には桃の、李には李の「それぞれの良さ」がある、という意味で、だから人と比べて落ち込んだり卑下することもないし、傲慢になることもない、という意味なのですね。
私はこの「桜梅桃李」という言葉がとても好きです。
人間だから落ち込むこともあるし、笑顔になれないときもある。
明るい人もいれば、自分を出せず悶々としている人もいる。
でもどんな時でも、ありのままの自分をまっすぐに受け止めてくれる人がいれば、私たちはすぐに立ち上がることができるのではないか、強くなれるのではないかと思います。
「桜梅桃李」の言葉どおり、そのままの姿を受け入れてくれるのなら、誰もが強い孤独を感じることさえなくなってしまうのではないかと感じています。
相手に期待するだけではなく、まずは自分から相手のことをありのままに受け止めていけたらいいと感じています。

@chels I know what you mean, its hard to find good help these days. People now days just don't have the work ethic they used to have. I mean consider whoever wrote this post, they must have been working hard to write that good and it took a good bit of their time I am sure. I work with people who couldn't write like this if they tried, and getting them to try is hard enough as it is.
